Bet365 bookmaker have a live stream of all the second round games at the Australian Open, so fans can watch all the action online, the best of which features Andy Murray taking on Edouard Roger-Vasselin, while the tie of the round looks to be Lleyton Hewitt v Andy Roddick.
Ahead of his second-round match at the Australian Open, Andy Murray has vowed to be in a ‘perfect condition’ after he struggled at times during the opening round victory over Ryan Harrison.
The British No.1 took over three hours to defeat the American which was a far from perfect way to progress with a competitive couple of weeks ahead.
Then, the fact that Murray’s second round opponent Edouard Roger-Vasselin took only 64 minutes to make it through could prove significant.
Speaking ahead of Thursday’s match, Murray said: “He’ll be well rested. I’ll do my best to get in perfect condition. It’s going to be tough.”
The Scotsman then revealed how his new coach Ivan Lendl was ‘very happy’ with his performance in the opening round.
Referring to the developing relationship between the two, he said: “He understands how you might be feeling at the start of a Grand Slam, what it’s like to play against someone that you haven’t played against.”
“It’s just good to have someone there that understands all of those things.”
Elsewhere in the men’s draw, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are safely through to the third round. Federer progressed with a walk through after Andreas Beck was forced to withdraw, while Nadal secured a convincing straight sets victory over American Tommy Haas.
As for the other big name in men’s tennis, Novak Djokovic, he faces Santiago Giraldo in the third round on Thursday with many expecting a comfortable victory for the reigning Champion.
In the women’s draw, top seed Caroline Wozniacki and defending Champion Kim Clijsters have both enjoyed a smooth journey to the third round, while Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams will look to join them on Thursday.
Overall, it has been an entertaining start to the Australian Open and there is plenty more to come in the remainder of the opening week.
